Mei Mei new 2As an investment banker with Goldman Sachs, BankAmerica and BankAustria, Mei-Mei led domestic and international transactions in project finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, syndications and sale leasebacks. Mei-Mei’s operating experience includes serving as chief financial officer and chief operating officer at two nationally prominent nonprofit organizations.

Prior to founding Notch Partners, Mei-Mei ran a thriving independent consulting practice, completing assignments for over 20 clients, including several private equity-backed companies, private equity funds and large corporations. Her current client relationships represent a range of industries, including media, apparel, consumer products, publishing, medical technology, telecommunications and enterprise software.

A frequent speaker at events and on panels that promote and support women business leaders and managers, Mei-Mei is an active board member of the Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: TBBK), the Clara Maass Medical Center Foundation, the Harvard Business School Asian-American Association (HBS4A), and Montclair Kimberley Academy. She has also served recently on boards for the Wellesley College Alumnae Association, New Jersey Women’s Forum, New Jersey Network (NJN), Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA), Mid-Manhattan Performing Arts Foundation and New Jersey Wellesley Club, where she was president.

Mei-Mei is a member of Business Leadership Council (BLC) at Wellesley, New Jersey Women’s Forum, and the Committee of 100—an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan membership organization that brings Chinese-American perspective to issues concerning U.S.-China relations.

ANDREW THOMPSON, Managing Partner and Founder

Andy Thompson 814Prior to founding Notch Partners, Andy was managing director of Primedia Ventures, where he co-managed two private equity investment funds. Through investments in 17 private companies, the firm generated top-quartile returns. In that capacity, he served on several boards of directors, providing strategic oversight and helping to build top-caliber management teams for the portfolio companies. Previously, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. Andy has been a co-founder or early employee of three successful startup businesses. He was a member of the initial team at Andromedia, Inc., a private equity-backed software startup that sold to Macromedia, Inc. in a nine-figure transaction netting outsized returns for the private equity investment group, including UBS Capital, JK&B Capital, Draper International and Platinum Ventures.

His functional expertise spans strategic planning, private equity investment and sales/marketing. His executive relationships cover a broad range of industrial and business-to-business fields, including business process outsourcing, commercial banking, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, enterprise software and telecommunications.

Andy is a frequent speaker to senior executive audiences, addressing the topics of career transition and executive relationships with private equity buyout investors. He is on the board of trustees for New Jersey SEEDS, an academic and leadership program for high-achieving, low-income youth. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Dartmouth College.


Judy Collins 814

Judy joined Notch Partners in 2005 where she focuses on a variety of industrial and consumer related projects. She has extensive contacts in building materials, water/electrical infrastructure and distribution/logistics. Prior to joining Notch, Judy served in operating roles at Flying Minds and Barnes & Noble. She started her career at Citibank in private banking. She holds an MPPM from Yale University and a BA from Wellesley College.


Carolyn S. Crisafulli

Prior to joining Notch Partners, Carolyn was a business strategy analyst with the corporate strategy team at K2 Advisors, a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments. During her six-year tenure with K2 Advisors, Carolyn held various positions in marketing and client services. Previously, Carolyn worked at Time Inc. in advertising sales. Carolyn holds a BA in History from Trinity College and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Strategy from NYU’s Stern School of Business.


Heather McNaught 814Before joining Notch Partners, Heather was a management consultant serving both for-profit and nonprofit clients. At McKinsey & Company, she worked primarily with financial services companies to identify strategic acquisition opportunities, improve human capital systems and streamline operations. Later, as an independent consultant, she advised nonprofits and state and city governments attempting to transform public education to improve education for low-income children. Heather also founded and led Learn NY, a nonprofit that worked with Mayor Bloomberg’s office to successfully advocate for the renewal of mayoral control over New York City public schools. She began her career in public policy, working for the President’s Council of Economic Advisers and the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Policy in Washington, DC. Heather holds a JD from Harvard Law School and an AB from Princeton University.


Lindsey joined Notch Partners after graduating from Colgate University where she studied Psychological Sciences and Educational Studies. While attending Colgate, Lindsey spent her summers working in technology startups as well as conducting neuroscience research for a Harvard University lab. In conjunction with her lab research, she spent a semester in Sydney, Australia studying personality, intelligence, and assessment which led to her honors thesis in cognitive attention. Lindsey also spends time advocating for a program that supports students struggling to balance serious medical issues with academic demands.


Isabelle joined Notch Partners after graduating from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in International Studies and a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies. At Johns Hopkins, Isabelle held leadership positions in her sorority, acted as a campus tour guide, and worked as an applied economics research assistant. While studying abroad in London, she studied literature and the history of war. In her free time, Isabelle enjoys reading and traveling.


Betsy joined Notch Partners in 2018 where she focuses on a variety of consumer projects. Before joining Notch Partners, Betsy was an investment banker at Deutsche Bank, GE Capital and the Rondout Group, where she underwrote LBO financings and provided M&A advisory to companies in the food and beverage industry. While at Cyrus Capital, Betsy was a hedge fund analyst and later, a Vice President of investor relations. As a member of the management team at MSR Investment, a commodity trading advisor, she led the marketing and business development efforts. Betsy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS from Cornell University.


Joey joined Notch Partners following his graduation from Georgetown University where he studied Psychology, Philosophy, and Theology. While attending Georgetown, he competed for the Men’s NCAA Division I Varsity Lacrosse Team, served as a trustee of the 1634 Society, and was actively engaged with StartUp Hoyas, Georgetown’s Entrepreneurship Initiative. Joey spent a semester studying in Sweden as well as Denmark and, upon his return to campus, worked in Georgetown’s Office of Global Education as a Peer Advisor. He remains enthusiastic about traveling and sports.


Katie joined Notch Partners after graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in History. While studying at Notre Dame, she directed and produced several student musical theatre productions, worked as a campus tour guide, and spent a summer interning with the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum. During a semester in London, Katie researched propaganda during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I for her subsequent thesis. In her spare time, she enjoys theatre and baseball.


Prior to joining Notch Partners, Elizabeth held operational roles at high-growth businesses of various sizes, ranging from an early-stage startup to a global on-line retailer. As Director of Category Development at a home remodeling company, Elizabeth expanded the business into new categories in advance of a successful round of venture capital investment. She led marketing teams at e-commerce companies, including LivingSocial and Wayfair, and was responsible for digital marketing and customer acquisition. Elizabeth started her career in investment research, focusing on the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. She holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and a BA in English from Georgetown University.


Mackay Peltzer

Mackay joined Notch Partners following her graduation from Colgate University with a BA in Political Science and Economics. While at Colgate, Mackay founded a program that provided support and volunteers to kindergarten through third grade classrooms in a local elementary school. Prior to joining Notch, Mackay spent a semester in Washington D.C. attending classes and working to strengthen democracy activist movements abroad. Mackay is originally from Vermont and enjoys skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer.


Kyle Perez

Kyle joined Notch Partners following his graduation from Washington University in St. Louis where he studied Economics, Strategy, and Marketing. While at Washington University, Kyle competed with and captained the nationally ranked Men’s Varsity Soccer Team, held leadership positions in his fraternity, and consulted for various local St. Louis startups. Kyle remains an avid soccer fan and enjoys playing music in his spare time.


Prior to joining Notch Partners, Desirée spent ten years working for a content marketing agency in Human Resources, Facilities Management, and as an Executive Assistant to the c-suite. Most recently, she spent two years as the Director of Operations for Doddle & Co, a fast-growing start-up focused on bringing innovative baby products to US and global markets. At Rutgers University, she served as Treasurer and Competition Coordinator for the Rutgers Ballroom Dance Team. In her spare time, Desirée enjoys dance classes, running, musical theater, group fitness, and volunteering with the Montclair Township Animal Shelter.


Karrie joined Notch Partners after graduating from Colgate University, where she concentrated in both History and Russian Eurasian Studies. While at Colgate, Karrie held positions of increasing responsibility with the Colgate Maroon-News, the oldest college weekly in America, starting as a writer and assuming the position of Editor-in-Chief. In addition to her involvement with the newspaper, Karrie also played Club Water Polo, ran the social media for the history department, and spent a semester abroad in London researching and writing her thesis about gay people in Britain during the Cold War Era. Now, Karrie enjoys cooking and exploring her neighborhood in New York City.


Jeff Weathers -web resPrior to joining Notch Partners, Jeff was an Investment Banking Associate at Credit Suisse where he helped execute over $8 billion of M&A and LBO transactions, high-yield and investment-grade debt financings, and recapitalizations. He worked in the Global Industrials Group supporting several industries, including Paper & Packaging, Diversified Industrials, Aerospace & Defense, and Metals & Mining.  Previously, Jeff was a Senior Engineer at Bell Helicopter and an Officer in the US Air Force. Jeff holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BS from Georgia Institute of Technology. Jeff is a licensed pilot and has over 450 hours of flight time in eight different jet and piston aircraft and enjoys traveling the globe in his free time.

An executive with extensive hands-on experience in financial management and business leadership, Ayelet held the role of Chief Financial Officer of SIGA Technologies (SIGA), a biotechnology company specializing in the development of antiviral countermeasures for life-threatening infectious diseases and bio-warfare agents. Ayelet began her career as an auditor in the Silicon Valley. While obtaining her graduate degree, Ayelet joined Mercury Interactive, a software development company, to lead its financial planning and analysis efforts. After moving to New York, Ayelet joined Pricewaterhousecoopers, LLP, where she served in various positions of increasing responsibility, worked primarily with technology companies and assisted clients in the development of their financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Notch Partners, Ayelet ran an independent consulting practice where she supported her clients on a variety of financial issues. Ayelet earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and her MBA from the University of Santa Clara, CA.


Prior to joining Notch Partners, Paul worked as an associate at Cambridge Associates on the Private Investments Manager Data Team in Arlington, Virginia. He graduated from Georgetown University in 2016 with a BA in English Literature and a minor in Spanish. At Georgetown, he competed for the Men’s Varsity Lightweight Crew Team (the G150s) and completed the first draft of his novel as part of a senior thesis. Paul loves rowing, reading and writing, and visiting his family in Jacksonville, Florida.
